DEFINING DRACO

Draco is an extensive constellation spanning halfway around the North Celestial Pole. It also encloses the constellation Ursa Minor on three sides. The constellation Draco is one of the most ancient star configurations chronicled by Ptolemy (c. AD 140) almost two thousand years ago. It is now known to be even more ancient than that as the early Egyptians would have viewed one of its stars Thuban as the Northern Star of their time at around 3000 BC. Myths surrounding dragons - the embodiment of Draco - are equally ancient and speak of a now forgotten history of our lost origins. This site is designed to seek out those truths of our forgotten past and re-learn all that the Dragon has to teach us.
